Representing Good People
Who Make Mistakes

Driving mistakes are easy to make

It’s very unfair to judge anyone who’s facing criminal charges based on one action, assuming that means anything about their overall moral character. The fact of the matter is that very good people still do make mistakes, and it happens all the time.

For instance, maybe that driver who was intoxicated behind the wheel didn’t have another ride and knew that they needed to get home to take care of their pets, so they decided to chance it. Maybe that person who caused an accident while they were speeding was trying to get home quickly to help a loved one. You never know what’s going on in someone else’s life that is going to impact their actions.

Another example is when someone honestly thinks they’re sober. In one case, interviewers talked to people who had been arrested and found that nearly half of them believed they were under the legal limit at the time. These people did not intentionally make a dangerous decision; they simply made a mistake. It happens all the time, and even those who swear they would never drive drunk may find themselves in a compromising situation.

Everyone deserves a fair legal process

The reality is that every single person, no matter what they’ve been accused of, deserves to go through a fair legal process to determine what has happened and why. This is not the time to make assumptions. It’s time to understand that everyone is human and that everyone is better than the mistakes that they’ve made. If you’ve been accused of a crime, take the time to look into all of your options carefully.
